The search for the next nightingale of India begins here. The challenge lies in winning over the crowd with your golden voice, and then be handsomely rewarded for it too. Sponsored by Neo-Chem, the event brings to a head the most diverse musical talents in the region, to be judged by acclaimed names, only at Aarohi 2008.

Performing live for an audience, the participants will be exposed to a full fledged singing contest, right here, in the heart of the country. So get those notes right, and come right along.

Prizes Worth Rs. 16,500.

Rules And Regulations:

1. The categories include Male Solo, Female Solo and Duet. The partners in duet category can be from different colleges
2. The entry fees for this event is Rs. 10 per person
3. For the eliminations, the maximum time alloted for singing is 1 min 30 seconds. If this time slot is exceeded by the participants, marks would be deducted
4. Participants can carry only one musical instrument with tehm if desired
5. Registration can also be done on the spot. The participants are advised to reach half an hour early before the event to register and collect their flash cards.
6. Sequence of performance would be first come first served basis.
7. Five entries from each category would be selected for the finals. They will be given the rules for finals when the results of elims are declared the next day. 

Hospitality:

Participants who register in advance would be provided free accommodation, with nominal charge for meals.
