PURPLE HAZE: the band contest

The stage is set once again, the smoke machines are rolling, and the crowd awaits the music of the gods. Seize your chance to be mentioned among them, at Aarohi 2008, and make a name for your band, while you get richer too. Special awards for individual brilliance are also handed out, at the show, judged by illustrious musicians from across the country.

 

Former performers at Aarohi include thrash metal band Systemhouse 33, Necropolis, the versatile Vighn, and hindi metal outfit Prakalp.
Come along, to witness the coronation of the new overlords of the octaves.Also, at the event will be a headlining act of widespread repute, only to entertain you! 

Prizes Worth Rs. 25,000.


Rules And Regulations:

  • Maximum 6 members and minimum 4 members allowed in a band.
  • Organizers would provide only the drum kit.
  • Not more than one member sharing allowed.
  • Candidates should bring their college I card.
  • Mandatory sections in finals are: 

        1.  One originals composition.
        2.  2 cover songs of any band(your choice)
        3.  Any one of the above cover song should be performed with creativity(bring the video of coversong).

Hospitality:

Participants who register in advance would be provided free accommodation, with nominal charge for meals.
