Al Pacino is getting older. We're looking for a successor. And the next Michael Corleone could be you. If acting and theatre is your thing, Aarohi 2008 is where you've gotta be! With professional acting troupes participating at the event, the competition will set the stage alight.

Set on contemporary themes, troupes will have to enact a time bound scene, and will be judged by luminaries in the field.

Prizes Worth Rs. 7,500.

Rules And Regulations:

1. Minimum 5 and maximum 15 members (Narrator included) are allowed per team. Additional 3 persons for sound and lights are permitted.
2. Maximum time for each performance is 18 minutes. The team will receive warning bell after 15 minutes.
3. If the play exceeds 18 minutes, performing team will be given negative points.(Exponentially with time).
4. Teams cannot use any kind of explosives, paints, water or any other material which might spoil/harm the stage/backdrop.
5. All the props used by the teams will be subjected to scrutiny by the organizers.
6. Some basic props may be provided by the organizers on the condition of prior information about the same.
7. Use of name of any political party, institution or figure is not allowed.
8. Same play has to be performed both in elims and finals.

Hospitality:

Participants who register in advance would be provided free accommodation, with nominal charge for meals.
