Organisation
They say, it is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness. It is to the need for providing a pulpit to the sophomore of the Orange city,to discover and assay out their recondite talents that the idea of Aarohi owes its inception. From being just a sapling in 1988, when the notion was first propounded, 'Aarohi' has blossomed into a tree. Today it stands as a movement that has carved a niche for itself in the lexicons of cultural and literary festivities.
But to carry out an enterprise of such dimensions, an incredible amount of zeal, determination and perseverance is demanded, and time and again the organizers of Aarohi have stood up to the job. Organizing an event of such grandeur calls for a professional approach, indepth planning, perfect co-ordination and meticulous execution of the allotted work. The well defined hierarchical setup of Aarohi team, coupled with enthusiasm, determination and the concerted efforts of the team members have been the key factors behind the stupendous success of the previous editions of Aarohi. The team members work in tandem to see that the entire work right from fund collection, campaigning to the actual conduct of the events is done smoothly. It is our firm belief that anything can be achieved by teamwork as long as it doesn't matter as to who takes the credit.
For us organizers, Aarohians as we proudly call, Aarohi means much more than a cultural fest. It is a concept very dear to our hearts, an inseparable part of our college life. Aarohi provides an opportunity to students from varied backgrounds, juniors and seniors to interact with each other and spend some quality time together. Being a part of the Aarohi team is an learning experience. Students get a first hand experience of the outside world, which is as important as the classroom teaching. The members work in unison towards a common goal, in the process developing a unique emotional bonding amongst them. Even years later the fond memories of Aarohi bring back the warmth and bliss of companionship. In an era of increasing individualism a concept like Aarohi gains all the more significance.
The present organization is a hierarchical setup with strength of more than 300 students from all branches and years of VNIT. The Executive Committee, comprising of final year students, is the apex decision making body.
